Getting Ready for the Real Work

Nice shirt! Need I say more? Another great trip to the Butterfly mountains!
Well here is where my tree house will go. I can't wait to have my hide out so Mommy and Daddy won't be able to find me; not to mention the Bears.
I love hiding up here on this big log when Daddy is hard at work. Climbing in the mountains is so fun. I love to get sticks and hit the trees. It also works great as a sword to kill the bears!
Next, we put all these flags in to know where to dig next time we come here. I was a little cold so Daddy let me use his warm gloves. Little big don't you think?
Here is the "Dog House" pad for the Generator. This is "poison" concrete, because Daddy told me that it will burn my hands if I touch it. I don't know why it's poison though...
Here is all the stuff we had to bring up to work on the Cavin. We actually made it up the skinny road Daddy made last time. Hooray!

Hangin' with Daddy

I had so much fun with Daddy today. He said I was such a great helper. It's great to just hang out as "boys". I can't wait to come back. Maybe we can convince Mommy to come next time?? I missed her and baby Sis.

Leveled Cavin Site

When we got the tractor up the hill, we moved a bunch of trees to level and area to build the cavin. I am more excited to build my treehouse though. Can't wait until the leaves grow again so we can hide better!

New Road to get to the Cabin

This is the real reason we needed the tractor. Daddy needed to cut out part of the mountain to make a little road to get to the cabin site. It took a couple of hours but I loved being able to run around and break trees and collect rocks. After about 3 hours I sat with daddy in the tractor and almost fell asleep standing up.

Camp Trailer Sites

This last weekend we got a big tractor and pulled it up to the "Cavin" lot. We leveled out an area to park a couple of campers here so we can camp before we build the "Cavin".

Here is the inside of the main floor. It will have room for a little sink/counter, Small dining table and benches, a 6' hide-a-bed for whomever wants to come stay with us, and a conservative bathroom that has a tubby for me and "Baby Sis". Mommy and Daddy will be giving us lots of tubby's in the mountains I'm sure...

This is the Loft that has room for a queen size bed, and a bed for me (Twin). Not to mention the trap door, that will close to keep me safe from falling down the ladder in the middle of the night. The window by my bed is the one that will go to my tree house. Not a ton of space but enough to sleep our wonderful family.

It all started with an evolving idea. Once we got it down on paper, Daddy couldn't wait to build it. He built it out of Paper!! What a weird idea? This is the outside of the "Mini" Cabin. It will be build down lower in the canyon with most of the amenities. It will just be on a smaller scale. Included in this cabin project will be a generator/storage outbuilding. Also, Daddy said he would build me a tree house that will have a bridge that connects to the cabin window on the second floor! That is what I am the most excited for...

Me and Daddy found the best spot for the "Mini Cavin". It's down lower in the Canyon so Mommy won't be so scared to come and visit us.

Me and my daddy spent last summer (2008) driving our 4-wheeler around Argyle Canyon to find a good cabin lot. We had LOTS of FuN!
